A caravan of over 1,000 migrants left southern Mexico over the weekend for the US border, despite President Donald Trump deploying reinforcements to keep migrants out and cancelling all asylum applications. Some migrants say they still hope to reach the US, while others seek work in Mexico City after Trump scrapped the CBP One application for asylum seekers that was introduced by his predecessor Joe Biden.
"We have decided to go to the border and get an answer. We still hope to be able to enter the United States," says Anibal Jose Arvelo, a 37-year-old Venezuelan man. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
