Description
Quinoa farmers in Puno Peru gather the grain that holds the key to their livelihood, despite a cold snap that is threatening their golden crop. "Because of the crisis, climate change, at any moment there can be a frost, at any moment there can be a hailstorm. So I think that affects us a lot and we are gradually adapting and being resilient to this type of negative extreme events," says farmer Wilmer Machaca, who helps the community maintain a reserve of quinoa through a seed bank.
