Surrounded by the opulence of London's Lancaster House, a young and highly unorthodox orchestra takes the stage. The Recycled Orchestra of Cateura makes use of an array of waste materials, all recovered from the Paraguayan capital's biggest landfill site, to make their instruments. "Culture is a basic need for everyone," says orchestra director Favio Chavez, "including these children who live in conditions of extreme vulnerability and at risk of social exclusion."
