World Bank staff are among the people crossing the border into Rwanda, as evacuations and civilian displacement continue amid conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. M23 fighters, backed by Kigali, appear on the brink of seizing the key city of Goma. A recent escalation in fighting between Rwandan-baced M23 fighters and Congolese forcesriggered a spiralling humanitarian crisis, with the UN warning of hundreds of thousands forced from their homes.
