Israelis gather in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square to wait for the release of three hostages held captive in Gaza since the October 7, 2023 attack by Palestinian militants. "Today marks the beginning of closing a wound that has been bleeding since October 7," says Israeli software engineer Gal, adding that seeing the hostages move through the crowds welcoming them after their release feels like "a kind of rebirth".
