"It's a great loss for the Orthodox world," says Alex Dhamo, one of many Albanians present for the funeral of Archbishop Anastasios who died on Saturday in his native Greece at the age of 95. Anastasios is largely credited with having revived the Orthodox Church in Muslim-majority Albania after decades of "atheist" rule, and fostered peace between Christians and Muslims.
