Hundreds of people, including dignitaries and leaders and followers of different religions, attend an interfaith gathering in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, to pray for peace in the east of the country. Rwanda-backed M23 fighters took the major eastern city of Goma last week and have vowed to march across the country to the capital, the latest escalation in a region devastated by decades of conflict.
