A 12-member search and rescue team from the United Kingdom has lead a weeklong mission in Malawi to train their counterparts on responding to weather-related disasters. Simulation exercises including pulling people of the water and giving them first aid were part of the course. “We wanted to support the Malawian people by bringing some of our expertise and sharing best practises,” says coordinator Russ Gaude.
