Chilean artist Rata Virus paints a mural of Uruguay's former leftist president, Jose "Pepe" Mujica, who is suffering from cancer and has refused new treatments, in a working-class neighborhood in Montevideo where part of Mujica's struggle against the 1973-1985 dictatorship took place.
"I feel it was necessary to do it before he dies," Rata Virus says of his mural in La Teja. "Pepe made me realize that it is possible to fight for ideals", he adds. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
