The African Union (AU) is warning against the breakup of the Democratic Republic of Congo, after the Rwandan-backed M23 armed group entered the centre of the Eastern DR Congo city of Bukavu. The AU's Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye, says it is "fundamental" to respect "the sovereignty, political unity, and territorial integrity of Democratic Republic of Congo," at a press conference on the sidelines of the AU summit in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
