Description
Afro-Colombian communities, in Colombia's southwestern town of Quinamayo, sing and dance to worship the black baby God and celebrate Christmas, like every year, a little later than the rest of the country.
For decades, women, men and children dressed in traditional costumes have been commemorating Christmas two months later - a tradition that dates back to the days of slavery, when their ancestors were banned from enjoying the holiday at the same time as the country's white gentry.
