Description
Veterans of the German anti-fascist movement, the "Omas Gegen Rechts", or "Grannies Against the Right", have ramped up their demonstrations ahead of federal election on February 23, with the far-right AfD party polling at a record 20 percent or higher. "We were too naive," says Eva-Maria Singer, who has been a member of the group for three years, recalling her generation's fight against "the Nazi and fascist establishment". "We thought we had eradicated it," she explains, "that's not true, it grows back." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
