A new Sudan coalition including political parties, armed movements, civil society leaders, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) begin their four-day meeting in Kenya’s capital Nairobi, in a bid to sign a founding charter aimed at establishing a parallel peace and unity government. The signing is expected to happen on 21 February. The gathering comes as the bloody conflict nears its two-year mark in April, during which hundreds of thousands of people have been killed, many injured, and millions displaced. IMAGES
