Description
Three years into the Kremlin's offensive against Ukraine, a Moscow theatre stages a play about Russian servicemen injured on the frontline. For director Lyudmila Manonina-Petrovich, her play called 'Radio Pasha' serves the purpose of understanding "those guys who return" because "those who didn't see it and didn't hear about it have completely different value systems". The play is based on the story of Russian serviceman Pavel Lazarev, who lost his leg fighting in Ukraine. Upon seeing the play, Lazarev says "every soldier recognises themselves in a play like that. It lets them live through the pain and let it go" . IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
