Description
The German Green's chancellery candidate Robert Habeck admits that his party no longer has the "constitution-amending majority in the German Bundestag for a reform of the debt brake". The so-called debt brake is a constitutional rule that limits annual structural deficits to 0.35 percent of GDP, the lifting of which is seen by the Greens as "necessary" to boost the country's ailing economy and infrastructure.
