Description
Stockshots of the ancient city of Leptis Magna in Libya, founded by the Phoenicians. The city, located about 120 km east of the capital Tripoli, was one of the most important cities of the Carthaginian Republic around 500 BC, before being conquered by the Romans during the Third Punic War. Leptis Magna is one of the three ancient cities that formed Tripolitania with Sabratha and Oea (modern-day Tripoli) and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. STOCKSHOTS
