Description
Reuniting works broken up and dispersed centuries ago, a major exhibition on early 14th century art at the National Gallery in London traces the rise of painting in Siena in what became a pivotal moment in the history of art. "Painting in Siena really sets the boundary and sets the sort of benchmark for what painting develops into in later centuries," explain's the museum's Nicholas Flory about the spring exhibiton 'Siena: The Rise of Painting 1300‒1350'.
