Description
Alain Mukuralinda, deputy spokesperson for the Rwandan government, tells AFP that the country broke its diplomatic relations with Belgium "to protect national interests, to protect the dignity of Rwandans. We must defend the principles of our country's sovereignty, the principles of peace and mutual respect between countries." He adds that Rwanda "does not have to intervene or interfere in the problems of another country. It is up to the Congolese government to demonstrate that the grievances of the M23 movement are unfounded." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
