A heavy police presence and fences are deployed in Istanbul's symbolic Taksim square after authorities banned demonstrations in the city for four days as a way of preventing protests following the arrest of mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. Turkish police detained Imamoglu over a corruption probe in a move denounced by the main opposition CHP party as a "coup".
