Thousands of demonstrators gather outside Istanbul City Hall for a second night, clashing with police during a protest against the arrest of the city's mayor Ekrem Imamoglu in a corruption and terror probe. The powerful and popular Imamoglu, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's main political rival, was detained before dawn on Wednesday, just days before he was to be named the opposition CHP's presidential candidate in 2028 elections.
