Police fire rubber bullets and water cannon against protesters in Ankara, Turkey's capital, during a second day of demonstration following the arrest of Istanbul mayor and political opposition figure Ekrem Imamoglu. The powerful and popular Imamoglu is President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's main political rival and was detained early on 19 March, just days before he was to be named as the opposition CHP's candidate in the 2028 presidential election.
