Description
Deer flew through the air in the U.S. state of Utah earlier this month, in scenes reminiscent of Father Christmas and his reindeer.
Video from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resource shows a helicopter ferrying three deer in harnesses.
The wild animals were captured to enable biologists to place GPS collars on them in order to track them.
They were brought to a staging area to have the collars fitted and were given a health assessment before being released again.
The Division of Wildlife Resource says each winter this is done with approximately 1,200 deer in the state.
It helps their wildlife experts to learn more about deer migration patterns.
