New York Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a hiring campaign to assist government workers who were fired by President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE.
"Our message is simple. While those says you're fired, we say you're hired," Hochul said. adding that New York state currently has 7,000 open positions available, including technologists, engineers, attorneys, health care workers, educators and public policy experts.
Hochul says the campaign is currently being advertised with digital billboards in New York City's Moynihan Station and in Union Station in Washington.
" New York does want you.," Hochul said, New York needs you."
