A man accused of fatally shooting two people and wounding four others inside a New Albany warehouse was given a $20 million bond in court on Thursday. Bruce Foster III is charged with aggravated murder, according to a warrant filed in common pleas court. No other charges have been filed yet. Foster's next court hearing is scheduled for Feb. 13. Six people were shot inside the KDC/One warehouse on Smiths Mill Road North. About 150 employees were inside the warehouse at the time of the shooting. Foster was able to escape via a rideshare service before officers arrived, according to New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones said. The Licking County Coroner's Office identified the first deceased victim as 38-year-old Kyle Vaver, of Pickerington. A second victim, 38-year-old Shakhar Chapagai, died from his injuries the next day. Four others were taken to Mount Carmel East hospital, three of whom have been released. Foster was found in an apartment near the Short North Arts District and arrested Wednesday morning. Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan Deville said a stun gun was used to subdue Foster, who did not surrender. Special Agent in Charge Daryll McCormick with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Foster legally owned the gun used in the shooting, which McCormick described as a 9 mm Glock. Jones previously said the shooting appeared to have been a targeted attack, but there is no clear motive yet. Jones confirmed Foster was working “for some time” before the shooting. Employees interviewed by police said there was not any confrontation.
