A California man was arrested after allegedly leading officers on a chase and crashing a semitrailer into a police cruiser in north Columbus on Saturday. Dashcam footage from the chase shows the semi driving in the middle of the road, driving over a roundabout and hitting multiple cars before the driver is seen getting out and running on foot. Officers were initially sent to the 1600 block of Karl Court around 3:30 a.m. on a report of a semi hitting a building and leaving the scene. The driver, later identified by police as 42-year-old Gregory Ivory, was also believed to have brandished a handgun, according to police reports. The affidavit says Ivory had left the area and officers tried to initiate a traffic stop at Karl and East Dublin Granville roads. Ivory reportedly did not stop and continued driving on Karl Road. At one point in the dashcam video, the semi is seen driving in the middle of the road and going over a roundabout with sparks coming from the bottom.
