Description
It will be a cold and sunny day today. High pressure is firmly in control of our weather, bringing clear skies, cool mornings and sunny, seasonal afternoons.
Area’s northeast of Columbus are currently in the upper 30s and are experiencing some frost.
We'll see plenty of sunshine and a nice warm-up today, with an even warmer day tomorrow and Saturday!
Our attention then turns to a weak weather system that will begin to move in late Saturday and into Sunday, with a few rounds of rain showers expected. It likely won't be enough to help alleviate our current drought situation, but every bit of rain helps.
The biggest nuisance on Sunday will be strong winds, with gusts upwards of 30 mph.
The winds switch to the north on Sunday night, which will allow cold air to filter into the area. We are still not looking at the risk of a freeze anytime soon, but it's possible by next week parts of the metro area will see a light frost.
