Description
US President Joe Biden spoke at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington DC on Thursday night.
In his speech, he championed his administration's impact on the border saying "Border encounters have dropped over 50%."
Biden also touted his party's efforts to bring down prices while attacking Donald Trump's new tariff plan.
"Trump wants a new tax on imported foods, goods, class, gas, clothing and so much more. As experts point out, it will cost the average family another USD 4,000 a year in taxes."
Biden's comments come a day after the Federal Reserve decided to lower interest rates, indicating that inflation is starting to ease.
He also continued to attack Trump on immigration, linking the former president to Project 2025, saying he plans to deport "over 11 million people."
