Firefighters were using bulldozers, helicopters and airplanes Monday to control a rapidly spreading blaze that broke out near a remote-controlled airplane airport in Orange County southeast of Los Angeles. The fire spread to about 3 square miles (7.8 square kilometers) in only a few hours. A number of dangerous wildfires are burning in California, driven by days of triple-digit temperatures.
