Description
A woman from Suffolk became the U.K.'s oldest diver at 102 after celebrating her birthday by jumping from a plane on Sunday.
Manette Baillie told British broadcaster Sky News that she has been "counting the days" until her skydive.
She is happy to finally consider it as "mission accomplished".
"When the door opened I thought, there is nothing more I can do or say, it's just jump," she said in an interview after her remarkable jump.
Through her skydive, she has been able to fundraise £9,000 ($11,884) to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Motor Neurone Disease Association and Benhall Village Hall.
After her jump, Baillie was welcomed back with a celebration from the community as many clapped and cheered her on.
She received her skydive certificate along with flowers.
For her 100th birthday, Baillie drove a Ferrari racing car at 130 mph (209 kph) at Silverstone race course, according to Sky News.
