US Vice President Kamala Harris has pledged to reform the country's immigration system if she is elected president in November.
"I know we can live up to our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants and reform our broken immigration system. We can create an earned pathway to citizenship and secure our border, " said Harris as she accepted her party's nomination in Chicago on Thursday.
Her Republican rival Donald Trump has sought to characterize her as weak on immigration as the election looms.
