Description
A 4-year-old Columbus boy at the center of an Amber Alert was found safe Friday morning, according to police.
Matthew Brown-Giamarco was reported missing by his father just before 5 a.m. from the area of Wedgewood Drive and Eakin Road in the Holly Hill neighborhood. Columbus Division of Police Sgt. James Fuqua said the boy was found unharmed just after 11 a.m. in the 600 block of Dexter Avenue.
He was believed to be with his mother, 24-year-old Sierra Brown, and her friend, 23-year-old Tayson Hixon. Police said Brown reached out to detectives and they turned themselves in.
Both adults were taken into custody. Brown is charged with domestic violence and assault and Hixon is charged with aggravated menacing.
