Description
Showers and storms are likely today and tomorrow, as a slow-moving cold front stalls across the area. This frontal boundary will be the breeding ground where several rounds of storms will develop over the next 48 hours.
These storms are most likely to set up across eastern Ohio today. That said, the risk of hail and damaging winds is still a threat in central Ohio.
Our cold front moves out on Wednesday, and behind the front, we’ll see a refreshing switch up in our airmass on Thursday and Friday. The return of cooler/less humid air arrives, along with lots of sunshine!
On a side note, the average number of summer days that reach 90°F in Ohio is 13.6 days, and so far this year we’ve had 15 days above 90°F, and today could possibly be our 16th day.
Furthermore, 67% of Ohio is currently in a drought, impacting over 5 million people.
