Description
The growing trend of animal yoga is getting a new wrinkle with piglet yoga.
A Massachusetts yoga instructor says fans scoop up classes as soon as they are released and some drive for hours to participate in vinyasa flow sessions as piglets named Wilbur, Charlotte and Bluey play and feed on their mats.
The practice of yoga with animals is not stressful to the animals as long as they are the type that is comfortable around strangers, according to a representative of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell.
And the practice could produce unexpected benefits for both sides in the relationship by introducing people to some animals they may have never thought of adopting, the humane organization says.
