Description
Electricians working on or near Ukraine’s frontline would have “more work” during a 30-day pause on attacks on energy infrastructure, says the Pokrovsk region head at energy provider DTEK Donetsk Grids, Vitalii Asinenko whose teams have been repairing powerlines near the frontlines for the last three years. “There will be more work for us because we work near the frontline, and anything that won't fly to where they agree not to, will fly here,” Asinenko says. Negotiations towards reaching a ceasefire are important, Asinenko adds, but he queries what the conditions will be for Ukraine for this. “What did the guys lay down their lives for if these dogs want to take everything away?” he says. “There is no truce as such, and I don't see it on the horizon.” IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
