Description
An anti-immigration protest takes place in Belfast opposite a counter-protest organised by anti-racism activists. Among approximately 150 anti-immigration protestors were some holding British Union Jack flags, stood alongside protestors with Irish tricolour flags, in a rare show of unity between supporters of British unionism and Irish republicanism. At the rival rally across a police line people chanted "Refugees Welcome" and "Fascists Out!". Both protests were largely peaceful. One person attending the anti-migrant protest was arrested after shouting insults at counter protestors, and refusing to move. IMAGES
