The Padres are not for sale and there are no plans for the team to be relocated outside of San Diego, Padres CEO Erik Greupner said on day two of Spring Training in Arizona. “The Seidler family has viewed this team as a generational asset. Peter spoke about that, the rest of his family has continued to speak about that,” Greupner said. "This team is not going to be relocated, this team is not going to be sold." While speaking to members of the media at the team’s Peoria Sports Complex Tuesday, Greupner said he has been told numerous times that there is no plan to sell the team. The Padres CEO also said there is a commitment to keep the team under the same ownership and to continue running the organization in the same way it has been operating.
