Description
Two retired Border Patrol horses, Hollywood and Apache, joined the FOUR along with Tammy Oluvic - Founder and CEO of Saddles in Service, Sandy Angione - Director of Training & Development, and Sean Puckett – Program Hero. Saddles In Service was founded in San Diego County, CA in 2017.
Their mission is to combat the suicide rates of Veterans, Active Duty Military, and First Responders and to promote mental health, wellness and healing to these Heroes through equine-assisted learning and activities. Veterans, Active Duty Military, and First Responders that have been diagnosed with or are experiencing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, depression, job-related stress, and/or traumatic brain injuries are partnered with a horse through their healing journey. In turn, we help them to rediscover their joy, hope, confidence, and purpose.
