A brush fire sent large plumes of smoke in the air near a busy area of the South Bay. Flames broke out near Hollister Street and Palm Avenue Tuesday morning. Fire crews fought the fire from the air and ground and quickly knocked the flames down. The mulch fire started in a nursery and was hard to access because it was located in the middle of the nursery, according to San Diego Fire Rescue.
