Description
San Diego County — along with the greater Southwestern United States — is gearing up for a particularly dangerous wind event through Wednesday and Thursday as Santa Ana winds make a return amid critical fire danger. Offshore, dry winds will pick up to speeds between 20 and 50 mph at times with gusts up to 75 mph with most intense gusts expected across local mountain ranges. With dry conditions through the last several months, fire crews will be on high alert as humidity drops, and the possibility of down trees and power lines loom.
