Pilot Alan Stensvild accompanied by Miss Cynthia McCabe, Miss San Diego for 19-67... swooped low over a ribbon suspended 15 feet above ground in an unorthodox way to conduct the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. The "20th hole is actually an airstrip adjacent to or near a golf course. This dedication puts La Costa’s course on record with the National 20th Hole Association which serves a network of similar airports, nation-wide.
