Description
The Coast Guard Cutter Munro and partner vessels offloaded 29,000 pounds of cocaine in San Diego that had been intercepted during a two-month operation in the Pacific, dealing a significant blow to international drug cartels. Operating from September to October, the Alameda-based crew conducted several separate interdictions off the coasts of Mexico and Central and South America, removing narcotics with a street value of $335.8 million before they could reach the U.S.
