Larry Himmel passed away from pancreatic cancer ten years ago, November 5, 2014. We miss him so much—he truly was one of a kind. His legacy lives on through the amazing stories he told about San Diego and its people—and we love to share them in News 8 Throwback. He visited Canterbury gardens in Escondido often. in 1999 he got into the Christmas spirit a bit early—in October. He found the store stocked full of holiday treasures.
