The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and North County Transit District (NCTD) will hold Free Ride Day on Wednesday. Free Ride Day is sponsored by Mission Federal Credit Union, and is part of California Clean Air Day, which encourages the state’s residents to reduce carbon emissions and improve the region’s air quality. Free Ride Day will be valid on all MTS and NCTD fixed-routes services. That includes buses, trolleys, SPRINTER and COASTER. NCTD LIFT and Amtrak Rail 2 Rail trains are not part of the promotion.
