July 2, 1956 Beauties Vie at Oceanside Hundreds of persons gathered at Oceanside for their annual beauty contest —a feature of the Oceanside Community Fair. It's sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and will run through Wednesday. Now for some of the entries from throughout southern California. Forty girls entered the competition... there's Joan Hammett from San Diego. The judges included some of the cast of the La Jolla production "Bus Stop." The field was narrowed finally to six contestants. And here are the winners... Raquel Tejada, 16, of La Jolla, second, Orlando Munyon, 21, Panorama City, right, was third, and the winner was Colleen Cummings, a 17-year-old blonde from Glendale. That's THE Raquel Welch.
