Description
September 7, 1965
California Western University has been growing by leaps and bounds through the summer months. The expansion started with the purchase of the former Council of Churches building. * The structure will house the office of the president and registrar. Gamma Hall, a dormitory for women, is expected to be in use by September 19. Completion is scheduled for October or early November. Residents of the new women's dorm will see this view from their suites designed for 12 students. Polynesian decor will be featured in an enlarged snack bar which is now being renovated. An additional serving line was built in the cafeteria to handle an expected 400 additional resident students. This fortress-like building is a new men’s residence hall. It’s scheduled for completion in November. The hall is just a short distance from the beach and will feature surf-board lockers and a magnificent view.
