Description
Sponsored by: Kaiser Permanente | We are just days away from San Diego’s Pride Parade, which kicks off in Hillcrest this Saturday, July 20. It is among the largest Prides in the nation. Kaiser Permanente is a proud sponsor of this year’s San Diego Pride Parade.
Kaiser Permanente Nurse Manager Patryk Paszt joins our Laura Cavanaugh to share how Kaiser Permanente celebrates diversity and inclusion to build a healthier future for all.
The San Diego Pride theme is “Making History Now,” which aligns perfectly with Kaiser Permanente’s long history of supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. As an organization, they have supported Pride for 30 years.
Kaiser Permanente was among the first healthcare providers in the country to offer its employees the option to include domestic partner health benefits.
The Healthcare Equality Index is the national LGBTQ+ benchmarking tool that evaluates healthcare facilities’ policies and practices. This year all 39 Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Southern California were honored by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation with the “Leader Status” designation on the Healthcare Equality Index, which is the highest ranking.
Kaiser Permanente is a proud supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. The organization was founded on the principles of equity, inclusion and diversity and is committed to stand with – and celebrating – all the communities they serve.
