The people out at the Miramar Reservoir said there is no better way to spend your Saturday than on a boat, but they haven't been able to do that in a while. CBS 8 spoke with a couple boaters who were more than excited to get back on the water. The reservoir open is open for water activities again after is was closed in September for the installation of a new underwater pipeline, which is part of the City of San Diego's Pure Water Program. "I think its been closed that long maybe even a little bit longer, its been quite some time, at least a year, maybe even longer than that," said Josh Gordon who was out on the water fishing on Saturday.
