Assemblyman Jack Schrade emceed the two-hour long affair that got underway at eleven this morning. There were 168 units… several mounted units… majorettes galore… Congressman Bob Wilson was grand marshal of the parade… Here's Monte Hall, of Tiny Town ranch and Channel Eight. Kinda warm for pizza pie… A view of the dignitaries… Plenty of pretty bathing beauties… Later in the afternoon, a water ski show was held in Glorietta Bay. The other big parade in the San Diego area was held at Oceanside and this was followed by a stadium program tonight. Another big attraction tonight was the fireworks displays… at the county fair… at Mission Beach… at the auto races in Balboa stadium, at National City and at Oceanside… Now here was a picture… Kathy DeKirby… pretty Miss San Diego and Miss Fiesta del Pacifico.
