A vehicle fire sparked a brush fire that erupted in East San Diego County near Boulevard on Monday afternoon. The fire, named the McCain Fire, was reported at around 3:34 p.m. CalFire said they were immediately evacuating De Anza Springs Resort due to the fire. The fire reportedly burned 714 acres as of 6:00 p.m. with a potential to burn 1,000 acres, according to CalFire.
