The former TikTok personality found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder was scheduled to be sentenced Friday morning, however, his defense attorney requested a continuance. Ali Abulaban faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering his wife Ana Abulaban and her friend, Ray Barron back in October 2021. The jury reached a verdict May 29 after a nearly month-long trial. According to prosecutors, the continuance was requested by defense so they can hire a prison expert to prepare Abulaban for prison. The judge agreed to postpone sentencing until September 6.
